Weddings - Polyphonic Brass Quintet

Polyphonic Brass also specialise in Weddings and Private Functions. We have a large and varied repertoire for every occasion which we believe will make your day even better! We are completely flexible to your needs and are able to tailor a package that will match those needs perfectly. We are very experienced at playing for Weddings, which is why we are so confident of helping make your big day that little bit extra special. The following section is a breakdown of some of the most popular requests we have received.

The Wedding Ceremony - We are normally asked to perform standard Wedding repertoire during the ceremony as well as suitable background music before the ceremony begins as the congregation gathers at the venue. Generally the ceremony begins with a standard such as the Trumpet Voluntary or the Prince of Denmark's March as the Bride walks down the aisle. The ceremony progresses with us being tearful onlookers......and we arrive at the signing of the books. Here we can play suitable music from our repertoire or anything you request. If we don't already own it, we can purchase it or arrange it, though this may come at a slightly extra cost to you. We then have the celebratory music as the happy couple walk back down the aisle together as husband and wife for the first time.

The Wedding Breakfast - A common request is for us to play background music as all the guests arrive and take their seats. Then we generally play a fanfare as the happy couple enter and take their seats at the head table. It has also been known for us to play requests of tunes that have a special 'novelty' factor to the immediate family.

The Reception - at this point of the day, we are there purely to play in the background. We are rarely requested to play at this part of the celebration as you will often have booked live bands or a DJ. However, we are available to play a part at the reception and we have a large and varied repertoire to help get the party going.
